Fabulous Friday Reads: Without Condition
Happy Black Friday, my American peeps! Hope you’ve all recovered from your turkey comas (and for the rest of the world, TGIF!). Let’s kick off the weekend with Lynn Burke’s newest romance Without Condition (Sandy Ridge 3), now available from all online retailers of fine romance. Take it away, Lynn!

Nothing but Kayla’s fingers and not-so-trusty vibrator have given her an orgasm in almost a year, and the one man she’s hell-bent on breaking her losing streak hides behind his badge. Detective “Hottie Pants” Ford thwarts her every attempt at seduction, and even though vandalisms, a trashed apartment, and physical assault keeps throwing them together, he refuses to attempt a relationship ever again.
She sees past his façade into the man hiding his pain behind unbreakable rules and inflexible conditions, but even after the fiery chemistry between them ignites, she struggles to prove to him she is nothing like the woman who jaded him for life.
Heartbroken, Kayla decides on a vacation to help her peace of mind—and ends up at Sandy Ridge. With danger hot on her heels, can the man she turns to first recognize Kayla for who she is? Will he give her the chance she needs to let him know she wants him without condition, before it’s too late?
Story Excerpt
Detective Ford’s gaze dropped to her mouth. “I can’t do this again.”
“Do what?” Kayla whispered even though he spoke as though to himself.
A muscle in his clenched jaw ticked, and it took him a few seconds to answer.
“Get involved.”
I’m not her, she thought to argue, but what did he know beyond the truth of her life? A rich young woman over ten years his junior whose daddy spoiled her rotten… Thinking he might turn on his heel and walk out without her even getting a chance to taste his lips twisted Kayla’s stomach.
“I don’t want a house and the picket fence, Detective.” The words spilled from her.
“Jacob,” he murmured, his gaze still on her lips.
“I don’t dream about rainbows and unicorns, Jacob,” Kayla whispered, her mind set on having him, giving her more boldness than usual. “I dream about your skin pressed against mine. Your mouth on my body, giving me what I want.”
He blinked, his gaze jerking up to her eyes, and he lifted his chin just enough, it felt as though he peered down at her. “Tell me what you want, Kayla.”
Alpha and commanding… yes, please. Emboldened, Kayla looked up at him through her lashes.
“I want you to fuck me.”
Jacob worked his jaw and thank fuck, lust rose to shimmer in his eyes.
“I’m not a gentle man.”
“I don’t want gentle.”
“I don’t do the cuddle and pillow talk bullshit after fucking a woman.”
All in, Kayla wasn’t about to hold back.
“Can’t cuddle and pillow talk if you bend me over the table in the back room.”
The man didn’t even flinch. “Conflict of interest, then.”
Kayla huffed a snort and dropped her arms, determined to win her way into the damn man’s slacks. She approached on trembling legs, her heartbeat pounding in her chest. His gray striped tie beckoned to her, and she slid the material between two fingers, trailing downward until she reached the end. Her fingertips rested on his belt buckle, and she lifted her gaze.
“Bullshit excuses,” she whispered.
His breath left in a rush, fanning her face with the scent of wintergreen.
“Kayla…”
“Jacob.” She quirked the corner of her lip.
War raged in his eyes, tensing his body looming over hers. That jaded, he probably hadn’t been intimate with too many women since his ex.
“Can I touch you?” she asked, breathless as hell and soaked through the bit of satin covering her throbbing pussy. Kayla slowly slid her hand downward, and when Jacob didn’t stop her, she found his cock, hard and heavy along his left thigh.
“You want me.”
His lips pursed, and Kayla squeezed his impressive girth, drawing a groan from his chest deep enough his mouth parted.
“Yes.” The whispered confession left his lips, and he grabbed her, yanking her full against his body. He crushed his mouth to hers before her held breath escaped, his soft yet demanding lips spinning her head. One hand fisted in her hair, Jacob tilted her head, thrusting his tongue between her lips.
Kayla moaned and sagged against him as his tongue swept along hers, tasting and devouring exactly as she’d hoped.

**Includes First Christmas: A Sigil Fire Holiday Story**
Story Excerpt
The dream wrapped around Fae like gossamer silk. It was always the same. The woman’s back was to Fae—shapely curves illuminated against the shadows, the stranger’s face just out view. They were in a dark and winding alley, with the back side of row houses and businesses cluttered with dumpsters and badly repaired fences. The area behind the shops looked ramshackle and smelled worse. A combination of rotting garbage and the reek of something far worse.
A sense of urgency pounded through Fae. She needed to find this woman. Needed to find her now.
Dark demonic wings fluttered in the background, causing the mystery woman to flee. Her skirts whipped up, revealing calves that sucked the air from Fae’s lungs.
An aura of silvery wings hung behind the woman, vanishing as quickly as they appeared. The alleyway grew disjointed—a true setting from a nightmare. The red of her hair was only visible for a moment.
“Help me!” the woman’s sultry voice begged, out of breath and shrill with terror.
Fae’s dream self darted behind her. Shadowy faces and writhing figures moved in the periphery of her vision. She stared straight ahead. She had to focus. To find the woman.
“Wait!” She reached out, but only caught the tendrils of mist that filled the void.
The air chilled as Fae streaked through the fog. A fractured scream echoed in the murky dampness. Seeing anything became more difficult. The swampy odor of decay made Fae gag but still she pressed on. Don’t look. Just move.
Fae panicked. “Where are you?” The need to find the woman was overwhelming. There was something important about her. Even if Fae didn’t know what it was—she had to find the stranger. With her heart racing, Fae kept moving.
“Stop!” A terrible scream rang out in the darkness.
Fae’s pulse thrummed in her throat; her fangs clenched in fear. Where was she? Fae’s footsteps rang hollow as she ran, eyes searching, senses reaching out for any sign of the woman. Around her the buildings changed. Cold concrete walls penned her in. There was only one way to go. Forward.
A dim figure loomed in the distance, barely visible against the mists. Large wings unfolded, the odor of sulfur and dark rotting things made her sour stomach flip once more. The sound of tearing clothes and panicked screams met her ears. Shit.
Fae snarled, racing toward the sound of sobbing. Her boots hit the pavement, puddles of water and filth spraying out as she ran.
There was the mystery woman. Long, red hair draped over the concrete, defiled by the refuse on the ground surrounding her.
A streetlight shone bright in the foggy night air, and Fae was finally able to see the woman’s face around the creature that held the woman prisoner in its grip.
Full, red lips parted in shock as the demon’s fingers tightened around her throat. With her wide eyes brilliant and dark against her ivory complexion, it was clear she was dying. Her gaze met Fae’s, a panicked expression of recognition, and as she looked at her attacker, fear.
Fae stepped forward. “Get off her, asshole,” she hissed, taking another step forward.
The being turned its head, empty eyes staring right into her soul.
“Fae.” Its lips tilted up into a satanic grin and he turned, revealing more of the partially nude woman.
Fae startled and took a step back. “How do you know me?” Her hand felt for a blade at her side. Nothing. Dammit!
Fae would have to try and save the mystery woman with only her strength.
Her fingers brushed the oily feathers of the demon’s wings, intent on pulling it away from the girl, but instead she ended up with nothing.
Dark laughter filled the hollow passage, and in a burst of noxious smoke, the being was gone.
Fae spun on her heel trying to see where it had gone, then moved back and knelt at the woman’s side. “Red.”
“Find me,” the woman whispered, her eyes locking onto Fae’s. A delicate smile drifted across her lips as she, too, began to fade into the mist.
“No!” Fae’s heart twisted in her chest. Just when she had found her, the woman was lost yet again. “No!” Despair clogged her throat.
The shadows of the alley loomed dark as the streetlight fell dim.
***
Fae jerked awake. She lay twisted in the sheets. Her breath came in gasps as the dream faded, leaving her cold and alone in her bed. She had seen the stranger’s face. Finally.
Her dog, Jellybean, whined in the darkness and snuggled in closer, her furry black face burrowing deep under the covers.
“Red,” she whispered. “I’ll find you.”
Staring out the window into the moonless night, Fae listened as the wind whipped the trees outside into a frenzy. Something was coming. But so was she.

Trace da Costa is determined to unite the nomadic and unsocial panther shifters of the Americas in order to add their voice—as a pride—to that of the rest of the world’s shifters. Humans are aware shifters exist which has led to innumerable problems, especially threatening the survival of the solitary big cats.
His followers have already embraced the idea of mating and staying together to raise their cubs and when he finds his mate he must convince her of the rationale behind the change in tradition.
Aura Maas has no interest in males, aside from the occasional one night stand and even if Trace da Costa is her mate she isn’t willing to give up her lonely lifestyle, having become inured to it at an early age. She is well aware of the risks with no one to have her back and resistant to the idea of being responsible for another—especially a cub or two.
But she’s impossibly drawn to Trace and when danger strikes they make a formidable team. Not to mention how great the sex is. She agrees to commit for a month, against her better judgment because her cat has already accepted him and her human side is fighting a losing battle.

Story Excerpt
“Where is she?” The tension in his voice betrayed his need.
Rock Gideon spoke from the side of his mouth. “Secured in the back room.”
His gut clenched as his entire body went on alert. “What do you mean, secured?”
“Tied, wrapped, and gagged. Secured. She should be waking up from the injection right about now.”
“You drugged and secured my mate.” A stupid man might have missed the dire warning in Trace’s tone. Rock was anything but.
Easing up on his elbows, the big male shook his hair from his eyes. Trace held his stare, their beasts close to the surface. The wolf broke first and dropped his gaze for an instant. “It took five of my pack to subdue her. Shade and Blaze are still recovering—in wolf form! It was a fucking bloodbath. Without the injection, you’d still be looking for her, and how I managed to administer that is a mystery.”
Despite the damage to Rock’s people, Trace couldn’t help but feel a frisson of arrogance and satisfaction. Aura Maas was worthy of him and his pride. Not that his loosely knit group of panthers were actually a pride, but they were still connected. And he required a mate to help bind them together before their kind faded into the mist. It was his lifelong ambition and one within his grasp.
He’d outlived his parents, and his sister… Well, he hadn’t given up hope for Ariana, not yet, but most everyone else had, and it was as if he was the last of his line. And so he was determined to build a larger family, both for safety and longevity of their species.
“I apologize for your trouble and offer my regards to your pack. I’ll also increase the prize money.”
With a huff, Rock turned back to his beer. His tone was admiring, if grudging. “Whoever tames that cat will have a lifetime of—”
Whatever the wolf thought Trace would have with Aura was clearly beyond his ability to describe. Trace hid a smug smile and said, “I’ll see her now.”
“Help yourself. Just keep between her and the fucking door once you cut her free.” Rock fished a key out of his shirt pocket. “New deadbolt. And the window is barred. We’ve kept … guests before.”
The information gave him pause but for a moment. Whomever Rock kept prisoner or in a way station wasn’t his business. The alpha wolf had a reputation of being on the up and up. Regardless, he didn’t have time to ponder. His mate awaited him.

Story Excerpt
“You’re firing me?”
“Of course not,” he replied adamantly, finally turning to face her. “I meant what I said before. You’re very valuable to this company and you’ve more than proven it. I also meant it when I told you that you would do great on your own. I don’t want you to leave.” He took her hand in his. “I want nothing more than for you stay, but I don’t want to hold you hostage. That was unfair of me. Please, forgive me.”
The truth was, she had forgotten about his threat. With the way he turned the company around along with giving her his friendship, not to mention the fact that she was in love with him, she was happy there again. She hadn’t thought about quitting or about going out on her own. The fact that he remembered and was apologizing for it and even willing to let her go without any repercussions stunned her. She had already forgiven him a while ago.
She watched a sly smile form on his lips, a devilish gleam in his eye. “No one should have to work for an asshole.”
“Good thing I no longer think of you as an asshole.” She glanced down at their joined hands. “I would like to stay.”
“You would?” He sounded surprised, hopeful even, and the look on his face confirmed it when she raised her head.
“And what about you, Adam?” she asked. “Do you intend to stay?” She knew it was a premature question, given the fact that it would be some time before he could present a tempting sale, but she felt like she needed to know if he even considered the possibility of actually keeping the company and running it himself.
He reached out and toyed with a strand of her hair. “I’d gotten so used to working with soulless corporations, people who wouldn’t hesitate to stab each other in the back. I guess you can say I’m pleasantly surprised. Publishing Enchanted is more than a company. It’s a family.”
“You’re part of it now.”
“And I don’t think I want to give that up.” He let go of her hair and brushed his knuckles down her cheek. “I have too many reasons to stay.”
They were so close now, their faces mere inches apart. Emeline couldn’t even remember how they had gotten there, but now she only wanted to be closer. “Adam,” she whispered, right before he closed the final distance between them and kissed her.
His kiss was soft, tentative at first, as if gauging her reaction, but when she wrapped her arms around him, he deepened it, moaning into her mouth as their tongues finally met and entwined. Finally, she got her wish and fisted her hand in his thick locks. His hair was soft, just as she’d imagined. Even his beard was soft against her skin. And God, he was such a great kisser, exploring her mouth thoroughly, lips and tongues feverishly connecting.
It was her turn to moan when he pulled her onto his lap and his hands began to roam down her back, her arms, and skimming down the sides of her breasts. He stopped kissing her lips long enough to move down to her jaw, her neck, and then all the way down to that deep V in the center of her cleavage, eliciting another, much louder, moan from her.
She was so lost in him, she hadn’t even realized at first that they were no longer moving, had no idea when they had stopped. Adam took notice of it, too, and paused his attentions to her. They were both panting as they stared at one another, and this time it was Emeline who leaned in and kissed him. She whispered, “Stay,” against his lips, the ache inside her for him too great to be able to part with him.
He practically growled in response and the two of them poured months of longing into their next kiss.
“I’m going to devour every single inch of you,” he said.
Yes, please!

Fabulous Friday Reads: Chants to Persephone
TGIF! Let’s kick off the weekend with Jennifer Macaire’s wonderful new YA fantasy Chants to Persephone (Time for Alexander Book 5), now available from Accent Press at all outlets. Take it away, Jennifer!
In the fifth book in the Time For Alexander series, the Thief of Souls has stolen Alexander’s soul, and the druids have foretold the end of their world and have raised an army to kidnap Paul. They mean to stop Rome from invading Gaul and thus change the course of time. Meanwhile, an oracle tells Alexander and Ashley they must go to the Land of the Eaters of the Dead.
Paul has stowed away on their ship, and Nearchus has decided that now is the time to profess his love to Alexander. To further complicate things, Charidmus, an old foe of Alexander’s, recognizes him and realizes he hasn’t died. Ashley knows she must stop the druids, find the Thief of Souls, keep Charidemus quiet, somehow get Nearchus out of their bed, and time back on track – or the Time Senders are going to have a fit. There’s also a small matter of a human sacrifice with Alexander as the chosen victim. What’s a time traveller to do?
Story Excerpt
‘Who is Voltarrix, and what is a thief of souls?’ I asked Yovanix, the Gallic slave who had joined us on our voyage.
‘In Celtic myth, it’s a druid who can steal souls.’ He made a face. ‘I’m not explaining this very well. I’m not Celt you see. But if Anoramix was afraid of him, I would be frightened too. Anoramix was never afraid of anything, not even death. There’s one last thing I should tell you.’ He licked his lips nervously. ‘Selena told me never to trust you. She said you were really Persephone, the Queen of Ice and Darkness, and that your heart was like a stone.’
‘She was still upset about Anoramix,’ I said uncertainly.
‘She blamed you for his death and wanted revenge. She forbade me to tell you that Voltarrix is still seeking Paul. She said that Paul would never be safe, and that no one could protect him.’
‘What does he want with Paul?’
Yovanix spoke as if weighing his words. ‘If it’s true Iskander lost his soul, I think I know why. If Voltarrix captured Paul and put Iskander’s soul in his body, can you imagine what would happen? Paul can no longer call the moon, but he can grow up to lead an army. The Druids are starting to feel the end of their world approaching. They speak of only one thing now; stopping the Romans before it’s too late. Some think it’s already too late. Voltarrix is one of the old ones who believe that time can be twisted.’
‘Twisted?’ I echoed. My voice sounded odd.
‘The druids believe that time can be changed, like a river’s course. They can change it, slow it, or speed it up. With enough work, they can even make it flow backward. Time is the foundation of the druid’s religion’
It was starting to make sense. Time. The Aztecs had foreseen the date their empire would topple, and they had tried to turn back time with their ceremonies. Nothing had worked for them. Nothing would work for the druids. The Romans would take over and usher in the modern world. Unless a boy, who never should have been born, somehow changed time.
It was conceivable – there were still two hundred years. After that, nothing would halt the inexorable march of the Roman Empire and the event that changed the world; the birth of Christ. But suppose the druids somehow managed to unite the Norsemen, Celts, and Gauls against the Romans? What if Paul were somehow the catalyst? Paul – with Iskander’s soul.
I took a deep breath. I would have to think about this. There were three people in the world who should never have been born: Paul, Chiron, and Cleopatra – and I was not supposed to be in this time or place. Anyone of us could, conceivably, change the world. A butterfly’s wings indeed.

Wicked Wednesday Reads: Without Hesitation
Happy Wednesday, folks! Today I’m here with Lynn Burke and her hot new romance novella Without Hesitation, now available from online retailers of fine romance. Take it away, Lynn!
Dumped like a bag of misshapen clay four months before her wedding, grade-school art teacher Mindy Hughson has no intention of opening her heart to anyone ever again. Hookups and one-night-stands fill the ache of abandonment—but still leave her wanting.
Attempting to find peace from the shattered pieces of her past, Mindy returns to Sandy Ridge where she’s drawn to the cabin’s owner, Gage Hart. A carefree fling with a ripped hunk of fuck-a-licious beefsteak is just what she needs to fill the emptiness she feels inside. But Gage’s sexy smirk, lone dimple, and deep stare demand more than just the press of her body against his. He wants her love. With his mere presence threatening her resolve to keep things simple, will the pain of her past force her to flee? Or will Mindy dare to open her heart to Gage without hesitation?
Story Excerpt
Mindy lifted her legs and wrapped them around his waist, uncaring of the fact her dress rode up, and they stood in a public parking lot. Enough shadow hid her from view, she expected, and if not, she hoped whoever glanced at them enjoyed the show.
The hard ridge of Gage’s cock pressed against her, and the slow gyrating of his hips and thrusting tongue brought a gasp to her lips.
“Keep that hip action up,” she said as he kissed along her jaw, “and I’m going to come.”
“Hot and bothered, huh?” he whispered in her ear, his hot breath sending tingles along her spine.
“I want you.”
“I can’t keep my mind off of you, Mindy. Goddamnit.” Gage returned his lips to hers and slid a hand between them. He groaned as his fingertips rubbed along the wet silk separating their skin. “You’re fucking soaked.”
She wiggled against his hand with a moan. “I’m soaked because of you. I’ve never wanted a man like this before.”
“You’re like a drug…”
“This craving is driving me insane…”
He stared down into her eyes as his finger toyed with the edge of her panties against the inside of her thigh
“Touch me, Gage.”
He shut his eyes. Swallowed. With a groan, he slid his fingers beneath the edge of her panties and stroked up through her wetness. “I want you to come on my hand,” he whispered and leaned down, brushing his lips over hers. “I want your cum dripping off my fingers.”
She moaned and tipped her head back against the window as he slid his finger deep inside of her throbbing pussy. His thumb brushed over her clit, and she gasped, her body bucking against him.
Gage pressed in with a second finger and rubbed across her hard nub. “Come for me, baby.” He captured her lips, and Mindy’s climax ripped through her, his mouth muting her cries.
Her pussy clamped down on this thrusting fingers, trying to pull him deeper.
Not enough…
She whimpered while thrusting to meet him. “Need you,” she gasped, pulling her mouth away from him.
“Fuck.” Gage growled and bit her collarbone while flicking over her clit again.
“Oh, God!” A second climax rippled over Mindy, and she sucked in her lower lip to keep her groans contained.
Gage lifted his hand and licked his fingers clean as she panted for breath, her legs still wrapped tight around him. “You’re the sweetest thing I’ve ever tasted.”
Another rush of arousal swept over Mindy. “I want your cock inside of me, Gage.”
“Goddamn, the way you talk.”
They peered at each other in the darkness, and an ache Mindy recognized clenched her chest. Fucking only, she reminded herself, pushing the feeling away and lowering her wobbly legs.
“Let’s get back to the cabin before I beg to ride you right here in this truck.”
Gage groaned again and stepped back, adjusting himself through his jeans. “Don’t know if I can wait that long.”
“Get in the truck.”
A smirk brought out his dimple, and he pulled open her door, grabbed her purse, and ushered her up into the cab. He slammed the door and rounded the truck, and the second he climbed in, Mindy got onto her knees and reached over the console, her fingers fumbling with his jeans.
Gage slid the driver seat back all the way and took over, his steady hands making short work of unbuttoning his jeans and jerking them down off his hips. He slid his hand down his length, and Mindy bit down on her lip while grabbing a condom from her purse.
She climbed over the console, settling her knees on either side of his hips, and he reached for the condom. “Let me,” she whispered, wiping her thumb over the bead of pre-cum at his tip.
Gage tipped his head back against the headrest, grasping his base and holding his cock out toward her.
She stuck her thumb in her mouth, sucking the salty taste off with a small moan. “If there was more room in this truck…”
“Fuck,” he groaned in response, another bead rising to replace the one she’d tasted. “Hurry up before I blow my fucking load all over this pretty dress of yours.”
With a small laugh, Mindy rolled the condom down over his length and shifted closer.
“You still have your damn panties on,” he said with a growl while grasping her hips.
Mindy reached between them and slid them to the side to rub her wet folds along his straining cock. “Nothing better than a panties-to-the-side quickie in the front seat of a truck,” she said and lifted her hips up.

Marvelous Monday Reads: High-Risk Fever
Welcome to another edition of Marvelous Monday Reads, darlings! Today I’m featuring Lea Bronsen and the re-release of her smouldering menage erotica tale High-Risk Fever. Take it away, Lea!
Two young and indecently handsome bicyclists visit a village in the French Alps during the summer holidays. Forced by a raging storm to spend the night at the local bed & breakfast, they invade the quiet lives of hostess Anne and her husband, Brian.
A power outage plunges the foursome into darkness, encouraging new liaisons to form, life-long secrets to be unveiled, and steamy lessons to be learned. But once the storm moves on, can the four find a balance and resume their normal lives?
**Note: This is the Second Edition of the book previously published in 2014, with a new cover and an additional hot and super emotional chapter**
Story Excerpt
Confident she was invisible in her dark corner of the living room, Anne silently descended the stairs one after the other with steps as soft as cat paws. At the bottom, she bent her head to see the scene unfolding at the other side.
Atop the coffee table, a white candle burned next to a bottle and a glass, creating a romantic atmosphere. Behind the swirling flame, the two young bicyclists sat close together on the bordeaux couch, dressed in pullovers and sweatpants, entangled. Gentle candlelight caressed their smiling faces as they stared into each other’s eyes, murmuring words Anne couldn’t hear, and…uh…kissing.
The truth hit her like a slap in the face. So that explained Todd’s hostile behavior in the kitchen, when she was talking to his lover, apparently. He thought Micaela was hitting on her!
Well, he had been.
An array of contradictory feelings assaulted her. She closed her eyes and sat on the stair. This was voyeurism, secretly witnessing two people’s intimacy. Jealousy and deceit, too, as a little earlier, she was the one Micaela attempted to seduce. That, and shock, because she had never before seen two men—
Low moans made her open her eyes again.
The guys were sharing wet, open-mouthed kisses, and fondling each other’s chests and stomachs beneath the pullovers.
Whispering something into Micaela’s ear, Todd snuck a hand down to his own pants, leaned back, and pulled out his fully erect cock.
Oh, God.
Anne stared in disbelief. This was getting seriously pornographic!
Smiling, Micaela moved a hand to Todd’s huge erection, grabbed it at the base, and leaned forward until close enough to touch its head with his half-open lips. His long, black locks slid down his shoulders, glowing in the soft light.
With a guttural sound of excitement, Todd closed his eyes, moved his hand to the other man’s shoulder, and stroked him.
Micaela opened his mouth and licked the tip of the thick shaft, letting his tongue glide around in playful circles before taking the length deep into his throat.
In response, Todd threw his blond head back against the couch, arched eager hips to meet Micaela’s sucking, and groaned. “Oh fuck, man.” He laughed.
Paralyzed, Anne blinked before shaking from her daze. She couldn’t watch this strictly private moment between two other people. Besides, at any moment, Todd could open his eyes and notice her sitting on the stairs. Then, what?
Encouraging his lover with his hand, Todd laughed again, and gasped.
All right, let’s get out of here.
Careful not to make any abrupt movements, she stood and retreated up the wooden steps, holding her breath—but the next stair gave a small, treacherous creak under her weight.
Oh, no.
The sound sent icy fear through her from top to toe, and the hair on her neck stood. She imagined the clank echoing between walls in the darkened living room. Frozen, she held her breath and tried to detect any sound above the heavy rain hitting the asphalt outside. A voice, a gasp of shock, something.
But, no, complete silence lingered behind her.
Maybe they hadn’t heard the noise, and she could walk up the stairs pretending nothing had happened. Or….
Curiosity gnawed at her. She needed to look, wanted to know for sure.
Inch by inch, she turned, careful not to make the step squeak again. She bent her knees to see underneath the ceiling and gazed at the guys on the couch.
Behind the dancing candlelight, Todd’s emerald eyes were wide and set on her.
Her heart jumped.
Fuck, fuck, fuck.
She loathed it, loathed herself.
Meanwhile, Micaela’s head kept bobbing up and down in his lover’s lap, oblivious to her gaze.
Nausea tightened her stomach as she stared, holding Todd’s look. Sweat formed under her armpits, and cold droplets glided down her torso, meeting the waistband of her pants.
She couldn’t define what his steady, intelligent eyes were stating. In the dark, the flickering candle flame reflected his pupils, but he didn’t blink once. Maybe he just didn’t mind her seeing him getting sucked by another man.
She needed to leave.
The same moment she made up her mind to turn around, he threw his head against the back of the couch and closed his eyes. A long groan of pleasure escaped his parted lips. Arching his whole body, he grabbed a fistful of Micaela’s long, black hair and yanked backward.
The Italian gave a throaty chuckle, but didn’t stop. As if encouraged, he moved his hand from the base of Todd’s erection to beneath the waistband and inside his pants. Though she couldn’t see him, she knew he was cupping Todd’s balls and fondling them, all the while expertly working his lips and mouth on the hard cock.
Pulling harder at Micaela’s hair, Todd grimaced and began to groan in rhythm.
His imminent release transfixed her. Heat filled her lower stomach.
Jesus.
She swayed on the stairs and leaned against the wall to steady herself.
Micaela brought his other hand to Todd’s engorged cock. With a playful grin, he withdrew his mouth and kept it open above the tip while giving it short, vigorous strokes.
A few more seconds of pumping, and then came his reward. Todd pressed his hips upward with a growl, and long rushes of thick white liquid ejaculated from his cock into Micaela’s open mouth. As he swallowed, more semen ran down alongside the cock’s head and over his fingers, glistening in the candlelight.
Growling a last time, Todd let go of his lover’s hair and covered his grimacing face with trembling hands. “Oh, my fucking God.” He breathed hard.
Indeed.

Wicked Wednesday Reads: Stately Pleasures
Welcome to another edition of Wicked Wednesday Reads, darlings! Today I’m featuring Lucy Felthouse and her delicious new BDSM menage romance Stately Pleasures. Take it away, Lucy!

There are worse things a girl can do to get a boost up the career ladder.
Alice Brown has just landed her dream job as property manager at Davenport Manor, a British stately home. It’s only a nine-month contract to cover maternity leave, but it will provide her with the vital experience she needs to progress in her chosen career.
However, her dream job soon threatens to become a nightmare when she discovers her boss, Jeremy Davenport, in a compromising position. Her shock is exacerbated when Jeremy, far from being embarrassed or apologetic about what happened, manipulates the situation until somehow, she’s the one in the wrong. He and his best friend, Ethan Hayes, the head of security at Davenport Manor, give her an ultimatum. Faced with the possibility of losing her job and endangering her future prospects, Alice reluctantly agrees to their indecent proposal.
When the dust settles, Alice comes to the conclusion that playing their kinky games isn’t such a bad thing, after all. But what happens when she thinks she’s falling for both men?
Story Excerpt
Alice took a deep breath, in through her nose, and out through her mouth. Repeated the process once more. Then, realising she could sit there all day doing it and not feel any calmer, she forced herself to step out of the car and close and lock the door.
She bent to peer into the wing mirror of the vehicle and checked her hair and make-up. Satisfied, she straightened, then turned on her heel and walked quickly across the driveway to the great house before her nerve failed her.
Davenport Manor was currently open for visitors, so she walked in through the front door and was met by a smiling elderly lady.
“Can I help you?” the woman asked kindly.
“Yes, please.” Alice twisted her hands together nervously. “I’m here to see Mr Davenport. I’m here for an interview for the property manager’s role.”
“Yes, of course,” the woman replied, “that’s today, isn’t it? Follow me; I’ll take you to Mr Davenport’s office. But just hang on one second.”
She ducked through the doorway into the next room and spoke with her colleague. Alice guessed she was letting her co-worker know she’d be gone for a few minutes. A few seconds later, she was back. “Okay, follow me, Miss…”
“Brown,” Alice said, then fell in behind the other woman as she led her to Mr Davenport’s office, and the interview that could change her life forever. It was hardly surprising that she was shaking like a leaf.
Alice quickly became disorientated as their journey took several twists and turns along dim corridors—their blinds drawn to protect paintings, tapestries, and furniture from the sunlight—and up a flight of stairs. She had a few seconds to worry about finding her way if she was lucky enough to get the job, then her guide stopped outside a door and turned around.
“Here you go, Miss Brown. Mr Davenport’s office. Good luck with your interview.”
Alice smiled and thanked the elderly woman, then smoothed down her skirt, which also conveniently wiped the nervous sweat off her hands. She stood up straight, gave herself a mental pep talk about being more than qualified for the role, and knocked on the door.
“Enter.”
Alice knew that voice could only belong to Jeremy Davenport. The posh accent, and the fact he’d said “enter” instead of “come in”, screamed money and an upper-class upbringing. Alice was suddenly desperately aware of her broad Midlands accent and lowly background, despite the fact she’d worked her backside off to get into a decent university in order to gain a Bachelor of Arts degree and then a Master’s degree. No matter what she sounded like, or what her past was, she had all the skills necessary to do the job she was about to be interviewed for.
She realised she’d left rather a long pause before opening the door, and turned the handle before the occupants of the room thought they were about to interview some kind of simpleton who couldn’t follow a simple instruction.
Fixing a polite—but hopefully not inane—smile onto her face, Alice stepped into Jeremy Davenport’s office. Her first thought—which certainly did nothing to help her nerves—was good God, he’s hot.

Fabulous Friday Reads: Jackal
TGIF! Let’s kick off the weekend with Harley Wylde’s hot new MC romance Jackal, now available from Changeling Press and other online purveyors of fine romance. Take it away, Harley!
Josie: I spent an amazing three days with Jackal before he disappeared, back to his club, the Devil’s Boneyard. He’d made it clear what we had was a temporary thing — he never wanted the picket fence and kids. I was fine with that. Then I faced the scariest thing ever. Telling my big brother, Tank, a Dixie Reaper, I was pregnant and alone at the age of nineteen. He wanted to go after Jackal, but I wouldn’t let him. I wanted this baby, and I knew Jackal wouldn’t. I never expected to see him again. Funny how fate has a way of surprising you.
Jackal: I’ve thought about Josie often since I walked away from her over two years ago. When I’m finally back in Dixie Reapers territory, I knew I’d look her up, see if we could have some more fun. I never counted on the little girl glued to her hip, or the fact the kid was mine. So I did what I do best. I ran. But now I want something I’ve never wanted before. My family. Because Josie and our daughter, Allegra, are exactly what’s been missing in my life. I just have to do some groveling and hope she’ll forgive me. Easy, right? I’ve never had a woman tell me no.
Figures the one I want more than anything might be the first to send me packing. But when she gets an unexpected visitor who threatens her and our child, I’ll do whatever it takes to keep them safe. Now that I’m ready to keep my woman and kid, I’m not letting anyone take them away.
Story Excerpt
I frowned at Scratch. “What do you mean they want me out of here?”
Scratch rubbed his beard. “I didn’t ask questions, but I’d imagine it has something to do with you fucking Tank’s sister the last time you were here. You ran off with her for a few days and I don’t think that went over well with big brother.”
“Shit, Scratch! She’s a grown woman and can make her own decisions. If she has a complaint about our time together, I want to hear it from her.”
He shrugged.
“Do you know where she lives?” I asked.
“I shouldn’t tell you,” Scratch said. “They don’t want you anywhere near her.”
“We’re brothers, man. Come on. I just want to talk to her. If she’s pissed at me, fine. I want to hear it from her.”
He watched me for a moment, then nodded. “I heard she’s been living with Tank. Green two-story house about two miles down the road,” he said, nodding to the left of the compound. “But if Tank beats the shit out of you for going after his sister, you’re on your own. You’ve already been warned away.”
“I’m just going to talk to her. If she wants me to leave, then I will.”
“Don’t stir shit up, Jackal. I’ll send you packing and ask someone else to come help. You hear me?” Scratch asked.
“Yeah. I hear you.”
I got on my bike and went in search of Tank’s house. The car parked in the driveway of the green house looked to be the same one that had been outside the clubhouse that night over two years ago. I killed the engine on my bike and walked up the porch steps, then knocked on the door. A slightly curvier Josie opened the door, her hair up in a messy bun, no make-up on her face, but fuck if she didn’t look gorgeous. Her hips seemed a little wider than before and her breasts looked bigger too. She damn near took my breath away, and I knew I was staring. There were dark circles under her eyes, and there was a yellow smear on her tank top, but I ached to reach for her.
I smiled. “Hi, Josie.”
Her eyes went wide and she stepped outside, pulling the door mostly shut behind her. She cast a nervous glance into the house before facing me again.
“What are you doing here, Jackal?”
“I came to help Zipper and I wanted to see you.”
She nervously looked over her shoulder again through the crack in the door, pulling it closed a little more before looking at me. Something was up, but I didn’t know what. I knew Tank wasn’t in there, so who was? Was there a guy in there she didn’t want me to see? I hadn’t really thought about her hooking up with someone while I was gone, but I should have. A beautiful redhead like Josie? She probably had men falling at her feet.
“You should go,” she said.
“Go, but… What’s going on, Josie? Are you pissed I didn’t call?” I glanced at the door, anger burning in my gut. “Is there someone else?”
“Please, Jackal. I can’t do this right now.”
She stepped back inside, careful that I wouldn’t see into the house, then shut the door. I heard the lock click and her footsteps wander away.
What the fuck was going on?
