Let’s Get Healthy: Day Thirty-four (AKA Welp, I’m Employed) #romancefit
Time on Treadmill: 30 sweaty, exhausted minutes.
Employment Level: Signed on the dotted line
Had a very pleasant interview with the nice folks who will be paying me to write assorted things for them. I think this is going to work out very well — it provides extra income, gives me enough time to write as well, and I get to do some really cool stuff by the looks of things. Can’t tell you much more than that, but altogether Nic is a happy camper.
In other news, I don’t know what is wrong with the Cameron Cats but my GOD they’re clingy today. Jessie greeted me this morning like I’d been away for months, Jeremy was doing his level best to trip me by flomping onto the floor wherever I was walking, Jasmine REALLY wanted to climb on me (and once I was in my interview gear I kinda had to discourage that because I didn’t want to show up covered in cat hair), and even JJ meowed piteously when I got home because I’d been GONE and he didn’t know where I WAS and I could have been DEAD for all he knew and how thoughtless could I BE, making him worry like that?
Yes, my eldest cat guilt trips me. On a regular basis, even.
The only one who was reasonable was Jemma, but she’s also the most laid-back cat in the house. She headbutts you once or twice a day when she wants to be petted, then the rest of the time she’s happy to snooze on a chair or sit in the window and watch the rabbits. And they’re gonna love me in a few minutes when I go up to the bedroom and shut them all out with only the Emergency Holographic House Ape (aka Ramón) for company.
