Marvelous Monday Reads: Lost In Magic
Welcome to another edition of Marvelous Monday Reads, pumpkins! Today I’m featuring Rose Wulf and her newest romance, Lost In Magic. Take it away, Rose!
Hello! Thank you for having me today! I’m super excited to share with you my latest release, LOST IN MAGIC (Night Shadows 4)!
Nearly a year after losing her best friends to vampires, Allison Drake knows it’s time for a change. And a nice cruise to the Bahamas sounds like just the ticket. She meets a sexy man on day one and knows it’ll be the vacation of a lifetime. But she’s not prepared for passengers to start disappearing under mysterious circumstances, or the implications that follow.
Mick Darringer is on the cruise not for the destination, but for the distraction. He needs to lay low and he knows the Council would never think to look for an earth witch on a cruise. It wasn’t part of his plan to meet a beautiful woman, but he’s not about to walk away. Ali captivates him from the moment he lays eyes on her.
But it’s not long before they learn that this cruise has problems. Problems in the form of vampires.
Story Excerpt
I should call Mick. He was bound to start worrying. And it wasn’t like she didn’t want to hear his voice. She was just worried the distance of a phone call would actually make her feel worse. You’re stalling. But calling herself out on her cowardice didn’t seem to be working this time.
Ali nearly jumped out of her skin when someone knocked loudly on her door.
She tightened her arms around herself and looked toward the locked door. Would it be Warner again?
“This isn’t over, Ali,” Warner had said with one hand on the door handle. Whether he’d actually said it as a threat or she’d simply heard it is as one she’d never know. But it’d been nearly half an hour since that conversation and he didn’t strike her as patient.
I wish these doors had peepholes. She didn’t understand why those things weren’t standard. But sitting alone on her bed wasn’t going to chase away whoever was at the door. Just answer it, tell them off, and then call Mick. He was surely waiting. It’d been a few minutes now since the announcement that the impromptu lockdown was over and they were all free to roam about the ship again. There was even the chance, she supposed, that the person at the door was Mick.
That was the thought that finally propelled her to her feet.
Still, her stomach clenched as she slid back the deadbolt. Just a peek. Mick was probably waiting by his phone. Why would he be worried about her?
It was a long moment before Allison realized she was staring into concerned green eyes. Gorgeous, familiar green eyes. She almost felt like crying. Almost.
“Mick?” As if that face could belong to anyone else.
“Ali,” he said on an exhale. There was an echo of fear in that voice. “I was worried.”
Her heart swelled and she opened the door properly, managing a smile. “Come inside,” she said. She didn’t want to be out and about in her hall at the moment.
Mick didn’t need to be asked twice. He stepped in, waited for her to shut the door, and then promptly pulled her by the hips up to his chest. He found her lips hungrily and she moaned as his tongue slipped into her mouth.
Ali curved her arms around his shoulders, letting one hand thread its way into his hair as their tongues danced. There was something in this kiss. Something more than attraction and opportunity. And whatever it was, she liked it. Wanted to lose herself in it.
Which was probably why he released her lips moments later.
“Are you okay?” he asked, his voice thick and his hands still heavy on her hips. Possessive. Comforting.
Stupid tears threatened her eyes for a moment but she fought them back and rested her head on Mick’s strong shoulder. Lie. Tell him yes.
“What’s wrong, baby?” This question was soft, washing right through her, punctuated by the arms he wrapped around her waist.
She hadn’t really wanted to lie to him, anyway.

Rose Wulf is a giant romance fangirl. Hot, protective, sometimes even downright barbaric heroes and spitfire heroines are her favorites. Rose has been writing for as long as she can remember, and over the years she’s only grown fonder of it. The bonds between characters have always captivated her, and as an author those are Rose’s favorite things to play with – not always to the relief of her fictional babies!
Behind the scenes Rose is a quiet personality. She enjoys spending her non-writing time with her German Shepherd, Shadow, her mom, and her friends. Be it a fun game of Cards Against Humanity or a relaxing movie night, Rose believes everything is better with company. As for her own romance, she’s still searching for her hero (and hoping that, when she does find him, he’ll be willing to cook!).

Fabulous Friday Reads: Sparks of Blue
Let’s kick off this lovely weekend with the second entry in Rose Wulf’s Dark Light series, Sparks of Blue. Take it away, Rose!
Hello my lovelies! Thank you so much for having me today!
I’m here this time to talk about my brand new release, Sparks of Blue (Dark Light 2)! I am beyond excited for this particular book and I just know you’re going to love it!
Nearly a century ago warrior angel Kai and Nephilim Belle were lovers. Then he broke her heart and never looked back.
Now Second in Command of the angel armada, Kai knew he was the obvious choice for this long-term mission. And his job was clear: keep Belle and her patient alive. But he wasn’t prepared for the resurgence of old memories and long-ignored feelings. He’ll have to face what he did a hundred years ago if he wants a chance to be back in Belle’s arms…but even then, angels are forbidden from laying with Nephilim. If they were caught, Belle would be executed.
Born a Nephilim, Belle was neither angel nor human. But she was a healer, and she was damned good at it. Her reputation got her noticed by the armada and eventually earned her the title of Master Healer. It also earned her a terrible assignment: save the life – and therefore the soul – of a cursed human…under the protection of her ex-lover. And it turns out the chemistry they’d once shared may have been buried, but it’s a flame that could never burn out.
Story Excerpt
She shoved the frustration of the never-ending struggle to prove herself from her mind as she checked out, doing her best to ignore the obvious flirtation attempt from the man at the desk. He could hardly meet her gaze long enough to smile. But she didn’t care, she just wanted to get out of there. As soon as she was done she moved out of sight, heading for a couple of trees that would make disappearing a little easier.
“You want me to smite him for you?”
Kai’s question startled her, as did the sound of his voice coming from behind her, and Belle jumped. “Kai, you scared the crap out of me!” she exclaimed as she turned to face him. His words hit her, then, and she couldn’t stop the tease. “Smite, really?”
“Seemed appropriate,” Kai said by way of explanation as he stepped into her personal space. Before she could catch her breath at his nearness he’d slipped her bag from her shoulders with one hand and caught her hip with the other. “Stop taking risks,” he added, the order roughened by a distantly familiar thickness to his voice that sent shivers of anticipation down her spine. Before she could process what he was doing he’d tugged her up against his chest and caught her lips in a hard kiss.
Belle moaned as he plunged his tongue into her mouth, demanding and teasing at the same time. He kissed her like a man starved, winding both arms around her as she kissed him back. Her skin burned beneath his heavy, heated touch and she threaded her fingers through his hair. It was thick and soft, exactly the way she remembered. He rolled his tongue over hers, stroking and sliding, reminding her body of exactly what he was capable of. Heat pooled low in her belly and she leaned into him instinctively.
For a long, blissful moment it was as if nothing had ever changed between them. The past ninety-plus years never happened. They were just two people with a powerful attraction to each other. They’d never broken up. He hadn’t ripped her heart out and torn it to shreds with his cruel words.
Except that he had. And that reminder was enough to dampen the flame he’d reignited in her blood. No matter how mindlessly good a kisser he was, no man was worth that. She had more self-respect than to throw herself at someone who could think so little of her.
Belle pushed back, taking a full step away from him as she fought to catch her breath. Her body rallied against her, remembering all too well the pleasure he could bring, but she held strong. She just hoped he couldn’t see the tears stinging her eyes.

Wicked Wednesday Reads: Black Dawn (Dark Light #1)
It’s time once again to help you over your Hump Day and spice up your week. Today I’m featuring the hot new erotic romance Black Dawn by Rose Wulf. Take it away, Rose!
Hello and thank you for having me today!
I’m super excited to tell you about my newest release, Black Dawn (Dark Light 1)! As the start of a new paranormal romance series starring angels, demons, and a few things in between, Black Dawn lays the ground work for the Dark Light world. I’m thrilled to be bringing this series to you and am absolutely sure that the gamut of sexy, bad-ass, Alpha heroes and their capable heroines will keep you begging for more! But I don’t want to get too ahead of myself, so here’s a little about Black Dawn!
Demons are real, and they walk among us.
Isolde Duchane grew up with a demon for a bodyguard. But as she’s matured, so have her preferences. And she’s got a thing for tall, strong, dark, and powerful demonic men. Really just one very specific demonic man. It’s too bad his life is bound to hers, putting her in a terribly awkward spot since what she wants is something more than a bodyguard.
Darr was summoned to protect Izzy when she was young. And he played the part to keep his own personal demons off his back. But things are starting to get out of hand, and not just because of his powerful attraction to the woman she’s become. The demon he’s been hiding from may have found him, and if he has… he may never get to tell Izzy the truth.
Story Excerpt
“But how do you know he isn’t interested?” Letty pushed.
“Couldn’t your father release him from the bond?” Britt asked.
Izzy smiled a bit and shook her head. “Why would he be? I’m the face of his servitude, essentially. I’m amazed he doesn’t hate me—or he hides it insanely well. And no, a Life Bond is a permanent thing. Breakable only by someone’s death.”
“Like yours?”
All three jumped at the unfamiliar male voice coming from the back of the cabin. A male figure stepped into the yellow globe light, the sneer on his lips assuring Izzy he wasn’t there to make friends.
“How did you get in here?” Britt demanded, pushing to her feet.
“Britt,” Izzy called as she and Letty stood as well. Clearly Britt wasn’t attuned to identifying demons like Izzy was.
“The usual way,” the demon returned. He switched his sneering gaze to Izzy and added, “I don’t suppose you’re interested in releasing Darr from the ties that bind?”
Izzy swallowed. “If you kill me he’ll die, too.”
“Supposedly.” The demon rushed her without warning, knocking her off her feet and sending her friends diving out of the way.
Izzy crashed over the futon and into a wall, her body aching from the impact. And he’d only hit her with his hand. If he summoned a dark energy wave for her she’d be a goner.
“Darr.”
Sometime in the first couple of years, Darr had taught her a short, wordless spell she could use to call for him when he wasn’t already beside her. He said it sent a jolt through him, alerting his senses to her situation and pulling him to her practically without his consent. She hated using it, but she couldn’t let this demon kill her. And he’d surely go for her friends next if he succeeded in killing her. She couldn’t let that happen, either.
“Get up,” the demon commanded. An invisible hand wrapped around her throat and hauled her mercilessly off the floor. She could barely dig her bare toes into the wood floor. The demon smirked and cocked his head. “Little Izzy Duchane,” he taunted, rolling his extended wrist slightly. The force holding her throat rolled to match, straining the side of her neck. “Goodby—”
A strong arm locked around the demon’s own throat and threw him bodily backward. The demon rolled several times before his spine met with a wrought iron bedpost.
Darr stalked up to him, his shoulders visibly tight beneath his shirt, fists clenched at his sides. “You dare,” he growled, his deep voice full of venom and promises of pain.
“W-wait!” the demon begged, pushing to his knees and struggling to stand.
Darr yanked him to his feet and locked a hand around his neck. Izzy couldn’t hear what he said next, but she didn’t need to. A cold chill swept through the room, the overhead lights flickered, and the demon let out a gurgled scream Izzy could barely hear. Darr released the corpse a moment before it was consumed in black hellfire.
The chill faded. The lighting stabilized.
Izzy pushed herself to her knees, realizing her ankle had twisted when her attacker’s concentration had snapped and she’d fallen. But that was the least of her pains. She’d crashed into a metal bar and tumbled into a solid wooden wall, cracking her head and at least one of her shoulders. He made it…
“Izzy,” Darr called gently, dropping to a knee in front of her as his hands landed on her shoulders. His touch was feather light as he discerned her injuries. “I’m sorry.”
The guilt that choked his voice squeezed her heart.
“I’m okay,” she insisted. “Just some new bruises. No bikini for me tomorrow.”
Darr frowned deeply. He clearly wasn’t appreciative of her attempted humor. “I’m going to pick you up,” he warned. A heartbeat after she nodded her understanding, he’d swept her into his arms. The movement sent some new jolts of pain through her, but being settled and cradled against his strong, broad chest countered that pain with encompassing warmth.

Marvelous Monday Reads: Found in Flames
Happy Monday, folks! Today I have Rose Wulf on to talk about her new erotic romance Found in Flames, now available from Evernight Publishing and other online retailers of erotic romance. Take it away, Rose!
Hello everyone! I’m author Rose Wulf and I’m here today to tell you all about my latest release, Found in Flames! Found in Flames is Book 1.5 in my Night Shadows series, which is set in a world full of vampires, werewolves, witches, and humans called Slayers. This installment focuses on the powerful, sexy Luka Craige – Alpha werewolf with a mission – and unassuming, overworked Joella Harp – a human caught in the crossfire.
All his life Luka Craige has been haunted by the witch that killed his family. Finally, having chased him across the country to the edge of vampire territory, Luka has his chance at vengeance. But not before his Beta is killed and Luka finds himself protecting a woman he doesn’t know. A woman who arouses him like never before. Could he possibly exact his revenge and find his mate?
A burning body was the last thing Joella Harp expected to find when she rounded the corner. Let alone a body with a man standing over it. After that her droll life becomes a whirlwind of werewolves, wild sex, and deadly fire. The witch wants her dead, she can barely think past her mouthwatering rescuer, and in no time she realizes this adventure could be more than a fantastical memory…. If she’s brave enough.
Story Excerpt
“Are you a werewolf?” she asked as soon as Luka came to a stop. He’d led her to a large, shallow cave a couple of rock formations away from the now-collapsed wolves. There was a small pile of clothes off to one side, just inside the mouth of the cave.
Luka turned to face her and lifted one thick brown brow high on his forehead. “Figured that out all on your own?”
Scrunching her nose at him, Joella crossed her arms and said, “Listen, I’m still attempting to accept that I haven’t just been drugged, okay? So could you try to be nice?”
“What if I told you you had been drugged?” he returned as he lowered himself to sit on the patches of grass near the center of the cave.
From his tone she couldn’t tell if he was joking. “That’s not funny,” she snapped, following him into the cave on reflex.
He was already sitting, one long leg stretched out and the other bent at the knee. The jeans looked sinfully good on him, and combined with the tight, muscle-revealing shirt, it was safe to say she was distracted. Still, she opted to blame her lack of sleep or food and, in an attempt to retain her sanity, she sat carefully a couple of feet away, facing him. “Let’s say I can swallow the ‘werewolf’ pill,” she allowed, “and the guy you saved me from, he’s a witch? Like, ‘abracadabra, hocus pocus’?”
Luka snorted and shook his head. “More like ‘fires of hell’,” he replied. “Witches have element-based powers. And the longer back the lineage traces, the stronger the witch.”
Shrugging as if that all made sense, and hoping someday it would, Joella asked, “But then why would this witch come after me?” A terrible thought occurred to her, then, and her hands flew over her mouth as she gasped. “Your friend… He wasn’t trying to protect me … was he?” Had she gotten a complete stranger killed? Would she be able to forgive herself if that were the case? And why on earth would she even need protection, let alone from a witch? It wasn’t like she had any enemies that she knew of….
“No,” Luka assured her, his voice harsh with pain he probably wouldn’t admit. He was glaring at the dirt somewhere beside his bare foot, and his glare never wavered as he elaborated. “Char will come after you simply because you interrupted him.”
Releasing an inappropriate breath of relief, Joella said, “I suppose that makes—wait, ‘Char’?” He’d said it like a name, but she had to have misheard him. Who names their baby ‘Char?’
“It’s an alias,” Luka said. He released a breath and lifted his dangerous eyes back to hers. “Witches never reveal their real names to their enemies. I only know what family he’s from by his scent.”
“This is ridiculous,” Joella mumbled. “Why did he…?” She couldn’t ask that. Whatever the answer, it wasn’t her business. Asking would just be hurtful. Especially if the almost-invisible wince she caught on Luka’s face was any indication. The hand hanging over his knee clenched in a tight fist and she could practically feel his anger. And for some inexplicable reason, she found that she didn’t like the sight. The pain in his eyes, in the tightness of his jaw, and the white-knuckled grip of his fist, it was all wrong. Everyone else had found comfort in each other. Why did Luka have to suffer in solitude? Did they blame him? Did he blame himself?
Whatever the reason, she disagreed with it powerfully. Human, werewolf, she didn’t care. Luka was a man with feelings, just like any other. And just like any other person who’d lost a good, close friend, the last thing he needed was to be alone. She was as sure of that as she was of the slowly rising sun.
She was moving before she could think better of it, letting one hand land solidly on his shoulder as she reached over and caught his chin with the other. “I’m so sorry,” she whispered when his slightly-widened eyes met hers. “Maybe if I’d gotten there a few seconds sooner…. Maybe I could’ve done something.”
Her words hung in the air and the tension in his shoulder slowly eased as he unclenched his fist. He held her eyes captive for several long, quietly intense seconds. Then his lips were crashing over hers, he’d tangled one hand in her shoulder-length hair, and her chest was pressing wholly into his. He was kissing her with a barely-contained ferocity that was both overwhelming and exhilarating. She was powerless as he sucked her lower lip into his mouth and nipped it with his teeth, and her blood was quickly coming to a boil as her body began to feel things it hadn’t felt in far too long. It was all she could do to keep up with the pace of his kiss, her arms instinctively winding around his neck.
His tongue swept into her mouth, stroking and sliding, demanding more from her even as his arm coiled around her waist and hauled her into his lap. She felt herself moan into his kiss as she let her fingers slip into his head of full, thick, chocolate-brown hair. The softness of his hair was in such stark contrast to the rest of him. The rest of him was deliciously hard and muscular, full of dangerous, primal promises. Promises her body was startlingly eager for him to fulfill. If he made love the way he kissed, a night with him would bring an entirely new definition of passion and pleasure. She’d certainly never been kissed the way he was kissing her.
He’d taken full possession of her mouth, one hand now fisted in her hair, the other cupping her ass and holding her tight against his chest. She could barely breathe and she absolutely could not get enough. Her tongue rolled shamelessly along his with every opportunity.
You know better, Ella, some piece of retained sanity whispered in the back of her mind. And oh how she wished that part of her were wrong. But it wasn’t and so, with more effort than she was willing to admit to needing, Joella pulled back from his hungry lips.
The moment she applied pressure to his shoulders, his grip loosened, and she watched, transfixed, as his Adam’s apple bobbed with a heavy swallow. She kept her hands on him, just under his shoulders, as she worked on catching her breath.
“Why,” she said with a gasp. “Why did you bring me here last night?”
Luka’s expression fell into a frown and his hands slid to her hips, but he made no effort to remove her from his lap. “I told you,” he said. “Char will come for you now.”
“Right,” she acknowledged, barely resisting the urge to dance her fingers around the collar of his shirt. He was way too distracting for her health. “But, why is that your concern? Why do you care about whether I live or die?”
